HOW WE ALL WAIT UPON THE LORD ALMIGHTY, WHO IS THE KING OF KINGS & LORD OF LORD'S, THE AUTHOR & FINISHER, FIRST & LAST...........OUR OMNIPOTENT GOD.....!

Introduction
1. In order to understand this verse accurately, first we must see what’s the purpose of using an Eagle to explain the act of waiting upon the Lord?

2. An Eagle at the age of 30-50, flies to a high place and there it endures a harsh trial of endurance and change. It can’t fly because its feathers are overgrown. Therefore it plucks all the feathers from its body. It plucks its talons from its feet because the talons have grown curled and useless. Its beak has grown too long and curled. It breaks its beak against a rock. Defenseless, it cries out and waits for the time of renewal.

3. Other Eagles hear its cry, and come to aid. They fly overhead, scaring off predators, and they bring food to their incapacitated friend.

4. Second, what does it mean to wait? In Hebrew (qavah – kav-waw’) the figurative meaning of the word is “to bind together like a cord.” It doesn’t mean to tie a cord around a bundle of sticks to keep them together. Instead, it’s the process of making a rope by twisting or weaving small strings together to form the rope. The more strands that are twisted or woven together in a rope, the greater is its strength. The literal meaning of the word is “hope”.

5. Like it happens to Eagle God makes us to go through harsh trials of endurance and change. This is necessary to shape our Christian character and faith. In such time we need to unite with the Lord like strands of a rope by waiting upon Him. This unity renews our strength. So let’s learn how to wait upon Him?
1. God should be your only source of hope

Jesus told the Paralytic,(KJV- M't:9:6): But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
This man had only 2 possessions. The clothes he wore and the mat!
In Jesus’ day paralytics were left to beg in the street. This was their only way of survival. The mat on which this man begged was his only hope.
He slept on it, rested on it and watched the world pass by.
He was ordered to put away the mat and to put his hope in Jesus.

Mine eyes are ever toward the LORD; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. (KJV-Psalms 25:15).

Have you kept your hope in some one or something other than God?
2. Isolate yourself with God. Be still.

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. (Psalms 46:10).

1Ki:19:10: And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
1Ki:19:11: And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD.  And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake:
1Ki:19:12: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
1Ki:19:13: And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave.  And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?

God’s renewing grace can be experienced only in isolation and stillness.

3. Submit to God’s sovereignty

Sovereign: Above or superior to all others/Supreme in power, rank or authority.
KJV -[ Isa:55:8-9] For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Do you know God is sovereign in your present situation? (Sickness, Financial issues etc.)
Do you know that God is working through your problem to work towards the Goal He has set for your life?

4. Conclusion
The very situation that you are facing right now could be a trial of endurance and change. God makes His children to walk through such times because it’s the only way prepare you to meet God’s plan for your life. To take away what is unnecessary, and shape up your character and attitudes.
But God never forsakes or leaves behind His children at these times of correction. He is with you because He wants to renew your strength at the end of the trial period. The 3 principals I provided in my message today show how to wait upon the Lord for divine renewal. Wait upon the Lord – and you will soar like an Eagle.

7 STATEMENT'S OF OUR LORD JESUS AT THE CROSS OF CALVARY...........

EVERY STATEMENT ON THE CROSS IS TO EDIFY YOUR SOUL & MINE.

The EASTER SEASON and The SPRING EXPERIENCE : MYSTERY of LIFE, DEATH and REBIRTH : The DEATH AND RESURECTION OF The CHRIST , IN, WITH, AROUND and WITHIN US.

When we look to Jesus, the "author and finisher of our faith," we realize that "bad day" on Calvary became one which we now call "good". And how it became that can be learned from the message inherent in our Lord's seven statements from the Cross.

1. Forgive everyone who's trying to ruin your life. "Father forgive
them, for they do not know what they do." (Luke 23:34) Through the spirit of forgiveness, Jesus retains control of the situation when it appears
He's being victimized by it. He is mastering the moment rather than letting
The moment control Him. Forgiving those who seek to injure us allows us to
Be unfettered by the anger or retaliation that would seek to attach itself
To us.

2. Help others who are experiencing the same struggle. "Assuredly I say
To you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43) The criminals On either side of Jesus are experiencing exactly the same agony and Suffering as He is on the Cross. Rather than focusing on His own pain, He extends His concern to those who are struggling with infinitely less resource than He has. In a bad day, it's important to recognize that we aren't alone in Our struggles others are going through tough times as well, often without a personal relationship with Christ to help them face their situation.

3. Be sure you've taken care of those near you. "Woman, behold your son... Behold your mother." (John 19:26, 27) Although Jesus is surrounded by turmoil, He is concerned about His mother's personal plight and establishes a domestic responsibility that John willingly accepts. We have a great tendency to presume that those who are closest to us will understand our dilemma and absorb the stress along with us. It's not the spirit of a disciple of Jesus to say, "It's been a bad day for me, so it's going to be a bad day for everyone around me, too." Don't transmit your trauma to others, especially those closest to you.

4. Aim your hard questions at God, not man. "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" (Matthew 27:46) When you feel sure you've lost touch with heaven-aim your hard questions at God, not man. Although human beings may sympathize, none of them have the answer. Job and his comforters are a classic study in how human philosophies fail. Cry out to God. He doesn't mind our complaints, and although He may seem absent, He's never far away.

5. Be human enough to acknowledge your need. "I thirst!" (John 19:28)
Earlier, Jesus turns down the offer of a pain-dulling drink that could Have satiated thirst but would have reduced His mental acuity. He chooses to remain in command of His senses. In contrast, Jesus later asks for a drink because He wants to clear His throat for the confession of faith He's about to make. There is no one so spiritual that you can make it through a bad day without people to help you clarify the stance you're taking of trusting in God.
Also in Luke 22: 18 "For I say to you I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes."

6. Be assured, there is a purpose and an end. "It is finished!" (John 19:30) These are the words we most love about the Cross because they are the declaration of Jesus' completing our salvation before He dies. Everything has been fulfilled. It's a statement of triumph that hasn't seen the Victory yet, but lays hold of it by faith. There's nothing that besets us in Which God's hand and purpose isn't steadily at work-if we move with Him through a bad day. Just like He did with Jesus, God can turn our bad day into a redemptive event.

7. Finally, surrender your day to God, and let it go. "Into Your hands I commit My spirit" (Luke 24:46) The end of a bad day can be the start of A long night of reliving the struggle with bewildering concern: "When Will this finally end?" But the way to go through a bad day is to get it into the hands of God and leave it there. That was how the agony of Calvary came to its conclusion. This was not a statement of wearied resignation but one of trust. From the human perspective, Jesus' words indicate a colossal act of trust in the Father and His fidelity to His own Word.

GOD HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR HEARTS

IN YOUR COVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, WALKING BEFORE HIM WITH ALL YOUR HEART IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY ( 2Ch:6:14) And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts.

GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART, WHILE OTHERS FOCUS ON OUTWARD APPEARANCES (1Sa:16:7) But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

HE SEARCHES ALL HEARTS (1Ch:28:9) And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

HE TRIES THE HEART (Proverb:17:3) The fining pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold: but the LORD trieth the hearts.

THE CONDITION OF YOUR HEART WILL DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT YOU WILL RECEIVE THE ANSWERS TO YOUR PRAYERS. THE SEASON BETWEEN OFFERING YOUR PRAYERS AND RECEIVING ANSWERS IS DETERMINED TO TESTING YOUR HEART. THE TEST IS NOT FOR GOD TO KNOW YOUR HEART, BUT FOR YOU TO KNOW ITS CONDITION (De:8:1-10 READ)

DON’T ALLOW ANSWERED PRAYER TO REPLACE GOD. THE FLOODGATE’S OF GOD’S BLESSINGS OPEN FOR YOU WHEN YOUR HEART IS RIGHT BEFORE HIM. LIKE ABRAHAM YOUR COMMITMENT TO GOD MUST BE PROVEN (Gen 22 READ – Full Chapter)

WHEN THINGS GET ROUGH AND THE MANIFESTATION OF GOD’S PROMISES SEEM FAR OFF, DON’T GIVE IN TO TEMPTATION TO RETURN TO WHAT FORMERLY WAS AT THE CENTRE OF YOUR  HEART. COMMIT YOURSELF TO NEVER LEAVE GOD. DON’T BE LIKE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL WHO ERRED IN THEIR HEARTS TOWARD GOD (Heb:3:10) Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.

BE MINDFUL NOT TO FORGET GOD WHEN YOU BEGIN TO PROSPER, AND DON’T ATTEMPT TO TAKE CREDIT FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE IN YOUR LIFE (De:8:11) Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day.(De:8:12 – 20 READ)

DON’T EXPECT GOD TO HELP YOU IF YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO OBEY HIM WHERE HIS KINGDOM IS CONCERNED……………

BEATITUDES OF JESUS
Jesus Christ gave us the eight Beatitudes in the Sermon on the Mount, recorded for all posterity in the Gospel of Matthew, the first Book of the New Testament of the Bible. Matthew's Gospel is directed to an audience steeped in Hebrew tradition.

The Gospel of Matthew stressed that Jesus Christ is the Messiah foretold in Hebrew Scripture, our Old Testament, and that the Kingdom of the Messiah is the Kingdom of God in Heaven.

Jesus offers us a way of life that promises eternity in the Kingdom of Heaven.

While the Beatitudes of Jesus provide a way of life that promises salvation, they also provide peace in the midst of our trials and tribulations on this earth.

THE EIGHT BEATITUDES OF JESUS

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."
Gospel of St. Matthew 5:3-10
